Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club (LHVC) was developed by a group of Austrian Investors in 1995, beginning with the construction of the Hacienda Hotel in Puerto Plata, on the Dominican Republic’s North Coast.

The vacation club product, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club, began in 2002 with 200 members and today there are more than 15,000 LHVC members. It offers an array of membership options to fit most budgets and individual needs which has made it a popular option for many families over the years.

LHVC has created a one-of-a-kind V.I.P membership, where exclusive facilities and services are offered only to these members, including restaurants, bars, swimming pools, lounge, beach area, golf cart, limousine and helicopter transfers, and more. Plus, the company has created a unique set of accommodations from spectacular stand-alone, Mediterranean-style Villas that offer private swimming pool, cook and house cleaning in designer appointed 3-7 bedroom sprawling, to one and two bedroom suites with room for a family to spread out and relax.

These types of accommodations and services are so popular that the company continues to expand this line with future phases of suites and villas already underway to meet the growing demand. Through a growing partnership with Spain-based Globalia Corporation, the unique Presidential Suites by Lifestyle. Dream Suites by Lifestyle  have been added to the stellar line up. Presidential Suites by Lifestyle, Puerto Plata is adjacent to Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort, with complete access to resort amenities and services. It also hosts Kosher approved facilities, becoming the only year round Kosher Resort in the Caribbean. In nearby Costa Dorada, Puerto Plata, a Dream Suites by Lifestyle have also been introduced, as well as a two additional locations in Punta Cana.

Tropical ocean breezes, clear blue waters, sandy beaches and majestic mountain views provide visitors with a warm welcome to The Tropical Resort, a hotel located within the Lifestyle Holidays Resort complex. This hotel offers an array of rental accommodations as well, including; standard hotel rooms, and Jr. Suites, as well as a plethora of activities to suit a variety of interests.

Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club was presented in 2009 with five prestigious Puerto Plata hotel industry awards during the 7th Annual “From Hotels in Hotels” Award Ceremony held at the Ocean World Park Marina & Casino with 400 hotel industry guests and regional tourism officials in attendance. The program is hosted annually by Leonardo Medrano, producer of the Puerto Plata television program, “From Hotels in Hotels” to honor professionals and institutions in the tourism sector who are a commendable example in the country, and especially in Puerto Plata. LHVC received two top awards of the evening, “Gold of the North Coast” for diversity and quality of its resort as well as ongoing transformation in new projects in Puerto Plata, and “Hotel Investment of the Year for 2008.” Three LHVC employees were honored for outstanding dedication and professionalism, including the resort’s hotel manager, human resources director and food and beverage director.

In 2007, LHVC’s constant growth attracted political attention and a visit by the then President of the Dominican Republic with his entire cabinet was considered a special honor.

More recently, Lifestyle hosted the country’s current President, Danilo Madina; as well as the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia and Vice Minister, César José De Los Santos, followed by a discussion about Lifestyles continued interest in expanded growth and development throughout the area.

The company has gradually become a multi-destination, high-quality vacation club in high-demand destinations that increases the loyalty of its members, through its affiliation with Group RCI, a worldwide leader in timeshare and vacation exchanges with more than 3.5 million members globally, and over 4,000 resorts available worldwide.

LHVC is one of RCI’s premiere affiliate resorts and one of its top five resorts in the Caribbean and continues to receive RCI’s highest recognition of RCI Gold Crown®. Recently, RCI awarded LHVC with a prestigious Top Producer Award for outstanding sales performance. The award is given to resorts reporting a higher number of new enrollments per region, with LHVC being among the Top 5 in the region.

Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club started with 280 employees in 1995 and today employs more than 2500 people. The company is actively involved in an annual holiday event to benefit a local orphanage in Puerto Plata, and is the primary sponsor of Integracion Juvenile, a school for underprivileged children.
